I have built and led marketing and communications teams for global brands including Chubb Fire & Security, Otis and Carrier. I developed and launched products and services, created and refreshed brands and marketing tools, and led lobbying campaigns - everything you would expect from a 20+ year global career.
I now take on interim assignments particularly around M&A communications, and advise on branding and marketing. If you want a deeper look at my career path, you need to head to LinkedIn.
Is it time to give your business a boost with a fresh brand identity? I work with Phil Percival on branding projects and together we can help with brand strategy and design.

Howden, a leading global provider of mission critical air and gas handling products, was acquired by Chart Industries in 2023. My role at Howden was to lead internal and external communications for the acquisition of CPI, a multinational business, in 2022.
I developed and implemented a plan to inform and engage all stakeholders before and after the acquisition, including PR and customer briefings through to Town Halls, scripts for leadership videos, creating intranet sites and Yammer channels.
Effectively an extra pair for hands for the global communications team during a peak of M&A activity, I also created a standard playbook with tools and templates that could be used in future acquisitions. Employee surveys indicated that having a dedicated resource on this strategic and complex acquisition had delivered an improvement in engagement compared to earlier acquisitions. Investing in translations, maintaining a regular cadence of communications, publishing people-led stories and opening up feedback loops all proved valuable in this programme.
Consulting for a US private equity firm, the goal of this assignment was to support the acquisition of a European-based business and the launch of a new brand for a global leader in the metal packaging industry.
I developed a communications plan to engage employees, customers and suppliers leading up to the transaction closing, and for Day One itself. I audited existing communications channels, proposed tactics and wrote materials for the business to deploy globally.
Whilst my role was principally strategic, I also got my sleeves rolled up and prepared scripts for videos and Town Halls, carried out UAT on the new website and wrote copy for the website and LinkedIn.
In preparation for their new life as an independent company under PE ownership, I coached the incumbent marketing team in corporate communications including a proposed strategy to deal with any future crisis communications. I guided the selection of agencies for their new website and PR activities. The new brand was launched in September 2021 and the press coverage reached all targets with an overwhelmingly positive tone.
Eviosys was merged into Sonoco in 2024 and rebranded again in 2025.
